About Me

Professionally, I am a Principal Security Lead Program Manager at Microsoft, where I lead the effort to improve security, privacy and trust user experiences across all Microsoft products and services. Previously, I lead the SWI team, improving the security of products across Microsoft. I have also worked on building technologies such as NGSCB, Windows Update, and Visual Studio. I came to Microsoft from Starwave in 1998, which provided ESPN.com, NBCNews.com, and portions of Disney.com.

Personally, I am a single mom with shared custody of my beautiful daughter, Ella, who is now 3 and the joy of my life. I live on Capitol Hill in Seattle, and also have a French Bulldog named Honeybee. I love to try new things, go out with friends, and pick up far more hobbies than I could ever maintain. I am active in the Burning Man and Information Security communities, and love punk and goth industrial music.
